Throw away your Resume
Great post by Seth Godin talking about why you shouldn’t have a resume >
This is controversial, but here goes: I think if you’re remarkable, amazing or just plain spectacular, you probably shouldn’t have a resume at all.
Here’s why: A resume is an excuse to reject you. Once you send me your resume, I can say, “oh, they’re missing this or they’re missing that,” and boom, you’re out.
Having a resume begs for you to go into that big machine that looks for relevant keywords, and begs for you to get a job as a cog in a giant machine. Just more fodder for the corporate behemoth. That might be fine for average folks looking for an average job, but is that what you deserve?

I was lucky enough to be invited by Piers Fawkes to join the Purple List. It’s an honor to be a part of such an amazing group of really talented individuals from all over the globe. I’m still not 100% sure what to expect from the Purple List. I just know that with the 100+ individuals that have been invited,.. something BRILLIANT is bound to happen. I’ll keep you up to date on the progress.

PRJKT BLU LBL
PRJKT BLU LBL is a personal side project/case study I just started a couple of days ago.
It officially launches on March 22nd, 2008.
The goal is to>
#1 - Raise awareness for the Worlds Water Crisis.
#2 -Raise $14,000 to build *at least* one PlayPump with PlayPumps International in less than one year.

If you’re using Internet Explorer i’m sure you’ve noticed that some of the images are not appearing properly. I’m not 100% sure why this is happening,.. but I will look into it and hopefully get it fixed.

(plus Firefox is a lot better anyway,.. just my opinon)
What to expect?
So what should you expect from the new idUnited blog?… Good question
For the most part I’ll be posting stuff about Social media, Marketing, Design, Trends, etc.
Basically things that I find interesting, inspiring, etc.
I’ll also talk about some of the clients/projects I’ll be working with this year. There is going to be some really cool stuff coming soon!

Lack of Posts
If you’ve been reading the idUnited blog for a little while now,.. you’ll notice that we tend to completely disappear for a little while,.. it’s kinda like a pattern. Anyway sorry for the lack of posts. Just have been busy working on other projects. We’ll try and step it up a bit and put at least a couple posts a week. Thanks for visiting!
